Children
We value children as full members of our church family. During our worship gatherings, children are invited to stay and participate with their families. During the music, children are invited to stand, sing, sit, observe, or dance near their parents. During the sermon we invite children to a hands-on learning opportunity that's connected to the sermon scripture.
During our worship gatherings children are welcome to engage with any of the offerings either at their seats or at the children's tables. Parents are encouraged to sit near the children's tables. We also offer an opportunity for children ages 6 and under to participate in a community of learning in room 102, if this is a better fit for your child.
Please talk with Janelle Garman, our children's pastor, if you have any questions or need any assistance.

The Atrium
ATRIUM 1
Sundays 9:00 - 10:00 am
Ages 3-6
Level 1 Atrium is a weekly refuge and contemplative work space where children can explore their inherent connection to God at their own pace and in their own way. Using narratives, parables, and imagery from the Bible, the environment is prepared in Montessori fashion with rich homemade materials and hand-copied texts. We practice slowing our bodies down to help us focus and become aware of God's presence with us.
ATRIUM 2
Sundays 9:00 - 10:00 am
Ages 6-9
Level 2 Atrium builds on the quiet, contemplative moments children spent in Atrium 1 enjoying God's love in their own way. The goal of both Atrium 1 and 2 is to set the child up to begin unpacking and falling in love with the Mystery before them as they spend time on their own with these texts and materials over the course of the year.
