Everything in our life of faith begins with the responses of seeing and hearing — taking our eyes off ourselves, off our circumstances, off our fears, off our egos, and "fixing our eyes onto Jesus Christ." The greatest moment in anyone's life is the profound realization that "Jesus Christ is everything!"
When Jesus says in JOHN 15:5, "I am the true Vine and you are the branches," He is saying that He's the source of everything good in life. And out of this Truth, each day is filled with opportunities for us to see what Jesus Christ is doing, to hear Jesus Christ speak about Himself and us, and to connect with His invitations to join Him in His plans.
The UPWARD part of our life together as 2nd Street is designed to draw our hearts UPWARD to magnify God's greatness through GOD'S WORD, through WORSHIP, and through WITNESS. We experience much of this UPWARD life when we gather together for worship on Sunday mornings.
My life with Jesus became real when I came to 2nd Street. Sunday morning's emphasis on worshiping God and studying the Bible have helped me open the Bible on my own and read it for the first time in my life. I am changing.

God is calling us to remain rooted in His WORD and in the person of Jesus Christ. God is calling us to make WORSHIP a more central part of our life together. God is calling us to be public in our WITNESS of how our UPWARD commitments to God impact our daily life.
